First time and visiting from out of town. The counter guy walked us through the way they operate β meat by the pound, no set meals β including giving us samples, which were so good! We had the moist brisket, a jumbo potato, some pulled pork and other sides. Everything was perfectly flavored and expertly cooked. Have the banana pudding. So yum! Shout out to the guy in line behind us who we tried to let skip us and who said βtheyβll let you try samples to find what you like!β Excellent service and atmosphere. Clean tables and easy supplies to take our leftovers home.
Order arrived promptly. If you like spicy Texan meats and beans this is one of your eating establishments. Food was hot and wrapped good. Brisket was juicy and filling. Ribs were ok. Banana pudding was good. Lots of bread given. Chicken was dry. Corn was laced with black pepper. Flatware was flamboyant......lol

On a vacation here in Texas, I have tried multiple BBQ at different cities so far, to be fair itβs not near the top level of my list, the meat was on the slightly dry side, seasoning shouldβve been better. However, the service is really good, price is inexpensive.
Rudy's is a Texas staple. I have never been disappointed. Their sauce is more on the earthy, spicy side as opposed sweet. They serve you on butcher paper cause plates are for fancy people. Oh, and don't wear anything that requires dry cleaning. Its BBQ.

We loved this place. The customer service is incredible. They really took care of us and asked us about sampling the food since it was our first time. This definitely helped us decide what we are going to get. The brisket tasted so good. My wife enjoyed it a lot. The service was fast and we enjoyed the deco of the place. The side dishes are plenty. We got some potato salad. The pickles and onions and sauces were nice to enjoy with the brisket. Easy parking and free. Definitely one of the best places in Austin for meat lovers.
The coolest part? We got to sample brisket, prime rib, sausages, and creamy corn, among other treats. The authentic Texas flavors were spot on, and the prices were super reasonable . Highly recommend this placeβdefinitely a spot to frequent!
